Legitimate work from home businesses?
Is there any legitimate work from home businesses? Or is staying at home and raising my kids just a pipe dream?
Can anyone give me information on any reputable home businesses?
I heard on a talk radio station that lots of people are doing customer service jobs from home. I'm looking for information on this or other home businesses that are legit. With some home businesses, money have to be paid out to get training packages, I'm not sure if I trust this. Please give me any information that you can.

What out-of-home businesses can I run from my dorm (like selling AVON?)?
I'm going back to college in a few weeks, and I cannot get a part time job because I cannot find a job that is flexible enough with my crazy schedule. I need to find a job that lets me work my own hours whenever is convenient for me. The only job I could think of like this was selling AVON. Can anyone think of any other jobs that are similar to this? Something that would be flexible with hours that I could work on from my dorm room.Thank you

Are there any legitimate work from home businesses?
What licenses and permits would I need to get for a home business in Oregon?
I'm planning to try to buy goods from people who will " drop ship," and sell them on eBay. Drop shipping means that when someone buys one of my items and pays me, I then contact the drop shipper who sends the item directly to the customer. In the above case, I will never actually handle the sold item. Also, I may do some normal wholesale buying, in which case I actually have the physical items. Could anyone tell me what permit s and or licenses I would need, and how to get them, for selling items on eBay from home as described above? Thank you Edit Just wanted to clarify, I'm planning for a home business, by selling goods on sites such as eBay and maybe Amazon.

What is the best idea about starting a home business for woman?
Starting a Home Business?
So I've been doing some work for a few clients in Computer Repair. But my business is starting to expand and I know there are certain certifications, taxes, and permits needed to run a business1. What is my situation with taxes? I definitely qualify as " self employed" , but I don't understand exactly how that works with paying taxes. Should I be withholding a percentage of my income or profits? as employers do? I don't know how or when to file such taxes and if there should be other taxes I will need to pay.2. When it comes to business permits, I know that is mostly local, but in general what permits are needed to run a business out of your own home?3. Finally, legally, what do I need to protect myself? Is a liability waiver enough, or do I need some type of insurance? As far as financing goes, I don't really need that, most of my repairs are software repairs and don't require any parts. So I'm not worried about start up costs or anything like that, I've been doing this fora while, but only now am I breaking the $400 limit mentioned on the IRS site.
